My amazing friend, Heather, tagged me. I love reading everyone
else's messages when they are tagged, but I'm not so sure about mine.
HERE ARE THE RULES: Each player list 6 facts or habits about themselves. At the end of their tag the player then tags 6 others, list their names, then goes to their blog and leaves a comment letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
1. I am from a family of 7. All five of the kids are two years apart...3 of us being exactly or almost exactly 2 years apart. By this I mean that I was born on my brother's birthday and then my brother just younger than me was born 2 days before our birthday. Great timing Mom and Dad!! :0) I was the only girl for 6 years and than my little sister was born. She was quite the cute pest growing up (what big sister doesn't say that about a little sister?!?) :0) but now we are the best of friends. I'm very excited to live only a short hour away from her now!!
2. I grew up working with my parents and siblings in our family business. Some of you have heard what that business was, but for those who don't know, here it is! We owned about 400 goats and we drew blood from them. Yes, actual blood, but it's not as bad as it sounds! :0) They were "donating" their blood just like humans do for a greater good! We processed the blood in our little lab and then sent the serum to be used for research, medicines, etc. It was quite the experience, but a great way to learn how to work hard and to
persevere a job that isn't the most glamourous. Thanks, Mom and Dad. Goats, by the way, are NOT my favorite animals!! :0)3. With having 3 brothers growing up, I too was a tomboy. They were all wrestlers and taught me a trick or two. I could and still can hold my own. I remember in Jr. High having arm-wrestling tournaments and beating all of the boys...P.J. Leguiniche, Ben Beers, Troy Braga, etc. It was great fun. I didn't want to be a wrestler, though, so I chose to play volleyball, basketball until my sophomore year and ran track in the winter and spring. It was so fun!4. Along with #3, I just finished my first season as the JV volleyball coach here in our little town. It was a great learning experience and a lot of fun. It was quite interesting at times trying to figure out babysitting and such for our 2 kids, but it was well worth it. I was so grateful to not only help those 12 girls on my team learn the game of volleyball, but also help them learn lessons that they will be able to look back on for the rest of their lives. I hope I can continue to help them become amazing young women!5. Schooling-wise, I graduated from Ricks College (before it became BYU-Idaho...does that make me old?!?) and then graduated in Physical Education from BYU. I LOVED my experiences there and have made great friends whom I still keep in contact with. I can honestly say that I didn't meet my husband, Brian, at BYU. Provo, yes, but not BYU. :0) We worked together the summer in before I started classes at BYU. He was a studly lifeguard at Provo Rec. and I was a lowly intern! :0) Once I got him to talk to me things progressed quite nicely, if I say so myself. We were married in August 2001 in the gorgeous Bountiful temple and I love him more with each passing day!!6. That brings me to #6. Since Brian and I have been married, we've lived in Provo, Salt Lake, Columbus, Hilliard (both in Ohio) and now we're in a little town in Idaho, referred to as AF. While we were in Ohio, our daughter, Paige, and our son, Austin, joined our family. They are so fun and great examples to me. They are so loving and they make every day a joyful adventure! Austin loves to follow his big sister around and Paige loves to show Austin how to make as much mischief as possible! ;0) I couldn't ask for a better family. Brian is an amazing father and husband. He works so hard to provide for us and lead us. He is so loving and willing to help with the kids! He changes diapers and gives baths like a pro. I love him so much!OK, enough of me.
