At the zoo

Paige absolutely LOVED the horses on the carousel. I wasn't sure if she would since the last time she rode the penny horse at Meijer, she flipped out once it started to move. She didn't do that on these horses, though, as you can see from the picture. :0) I think she had a smile on her face the entire time!







There was a lone peacock roaming through the zoo and Paige about died with excitement. She wanted to follow the "ceacop", as she calls it, throughout the entire zoo. When we went to ride the carousel, the peacock realized that it was his chance to get away. When the ride was over, Paige immediately asked where the "ceacop" was. I can't get over how much Paige loves any type of animal. She hasn't been afraid of any animal that we've come across so far. I wonder if we're going to have a future vet on our hands! :0)

Not sure about Santa

We had our Ward Christmas party on the 2nd of this month and of course Santa came at the end of it all. This is really the first time that Paige has had the opportunity to see a "real, live Santa". She loved watching all of the other kids get onto his lap, but when she was next in line, she wasn't so sure of it all. We walked up and I set her on his lap. I could tell she was on the verge of losing it and Santa and I had the same thought, give the girl the candy cane ASAP. When he did, she sat there on his lap, but refused to look at him or smile for the camera. This is the best shot we took! The rest of the night, she'd sneak a look at Santa with the other kids, but she refused to get too close to him after that. Unless, of course, he gave her another candy cane!

COSI fun

Here are a couple cute pictures we took at COSI, a science activity center here in downtown Columbus. We had so much fun there. We played in the toddler area for most of the time (Grandma Buhler can tell you about the rats that can play basketball) then we ate lunch and took these pics. I absolutely love the picture of my mom and grandma!! Good times, good times.

Our wonderful family!!

We had such a great time with my mom and grandma this last week!! I think the best part was seeing how Paige interacted with them. Everytime she wanted something, whether it was a snack, a toy, etc., she had to make sure that her grandmas had it too. We were able to go to the Columbus temple, COSI, the zoo, Kirtland, and of course shopping with them, also. We made a lot of great memories on this trip, that's for sure! The saddest part was saying goodbye, of course. Paige saw her grandmas walking away at the airport and she started crying and saying, "Gandma, gandma" over and over! It was so sweet, but sad. Luckily it didn't last very long, or else it would have got me going! At least I understand that "Gandma" will be coming back in 3 months when the baby's born!


This is one of my favorite pictures that we took at Kirtland. We had a great time seeing the sites and feeling the spirit there. I wish we would have been able to go into the Kirtland temple, but Paige (and Mommy) weren't going to last much longer without a real lunch! My mom took some great pictures of the temple from the outside, though, and hopefully she'll be able to go in when she's out here for Brian's graduation in June. Thanks Mom and Grandma for taking me up on the offer to come out. We enjoyed every moment and Paige still talks about her "Gandmas". :0)
