The tale of the Christmas Tree

We set up the tree after the BYU/Utah game on Saturday. We wanted Paige to help put the ornaments on the tree, so we taught her how to put the hooks on the ornaments, find the perfect "spot" for it, and place it on the branch. She did so well and as you can see in the first picture, she was quite proud of herself. She especially liked the ornament we got for her last year which has her picture in it (it's the blue square right in the middle of the tree.) All was well in the Adair household until Paige decided that she wanted to take a couple ornaments off the tree and move them to a different spot. As she did this, the tree tipped over and crashed down to the floor. It didn't hit Paige, but we did have a few casualties. One of my favorite snowman ornaments was broken into bits and a few gold balls. I was very surprised more damaged wasn't done. I think Paige has learned her lesson, at least for now, because every time she gets close to the tree to look at the lights and the ornaments we ask her what happens if we play with the tree and she says in her sweet, angelic voice..."tree fall down".

Go Bucks!!!

As most of you know, The Ohio State University Buckeyes are the #1 college football team in the nation. (We are very happy about this, by the way!) When we played the "school up north" on November 18th we went to our friends' house to watch the game. We had so much fun! Paige, Kate, and Jack all had their Good Luck Buckeye necklaces on and they seemed to help in the outcome of the game. :0) You should hear Paige say "Go Bucks" whenever she sees a football game on TV. (She now has added "Go Cougars" to her vocabulary also since she was able to watch the BYU vs. Utah game on Saturday.) Brainwashing our child, you ask....No way!!!

The latest trip to the Columbus Zoo

Instead of sliding down the orangutan statue like her friend, Kate, Paige decided she wanted to give it a kiss instead! She definitely is a loving girl. (We wouldn't want her any other way!!)

Paige, Kate, and Jack had to try to get on the replica of the "World's stinkiest flower" at the same time. We always have so much fun at the zoo, especially when we go with our friends! We're hoping to go again this week before the weather changes for the worse.

Can you guess what we're having?

Just a couple of Paige's "boyfriends"

Paige loves to give Sammy (Cookie Monster) hugs! Too bad he was more interested in his sucker!

Our little bunny cheesing it with Baby Bear (aka Zachary).
